I have a feeling this was done by the same yarn bomber who did "What Would Maddow Do?" This is along the bike path downtown, near the Maplewood Shops.

New pieces have been added to the tree over the past week. My addition is the red piece on the left. As I was sewing it on, lots and lots of people came along on the bike path. The only comment I got was "Nice work." I agree. Along the bike path by the Hampton Avenue parking lot.

Now in a New Location
16 Jul 2011 |
|
I learned a couple things from my initial foray as a yarn stormer: (1) you should knit your street furniture cosies an inch narrower than the diameter of what you're covering, and (2) if you knit something with bulky wool, it's gonna get heavy when it rains and will slide down whatever bit of metal it's attached to. So, I've repositioned my wee cosy in a place where it can't drop to the pavement.

On my last full day in London, I went back to Meanwhile Gardens to leave a couple yarn bombs there. I think Helen would have liked finding these on her patch.
