When I arrived in Margate and walked by the Nayland Rock Shelter at mid-day, the tide was high and there was no sign of the the tidal swimming pool. Late afternoon, on my way back to the station, it was revealed at low tide. I'd never seen anything like it before. Are there tidal swimming pools in other seaside towns?
