I have been away from Ipernity for quite a while now. I started a new job in January and that has taken most all of my focus and attention. I have missed participating here and I am glad to have a small opportunity to post again. These rings were hand made by my wife out of Argentium Silver wire and hammered into the shape they are while giving them the texture you can see on the surface.

This is a section of an arm cuff created by my wife out of copper wire. It was created by wrapping smaller wires around larger core wires. p10s27 p7s23

This is a micro photograph of a necklace my wife made using a tutorial. It consists of copper wire of different guages woven together. The pendant is still raw copper and has not been oxidized yet. p16s12

This bracelet was fashioned out of raw copper wire by my wife and then treated with a liver of sulfur mix to oxidize it. It is from the Little Bit Wicked tutorial by Nicole Hanna. This photo was created by using Adobe Photoshop's photo stacking feature. p11s27

This is a photo of a Viking Wire Knit completed by my wife. Copper wire is wrapped and woven into a "tube" and then stretched until it forms a tight knit rope.

This is a necklace designed and created by my wife using a Molly Cooley handmade bead as the focal point.

The way life has been lately I haven't been able to get out and take pictures and I am disappointed about that. I have been continuing to take pictures of my wife's jewelry creations. I have just begun to experiment with focus stacking macro shots. I had been using a free trial version of a focus stacking program but am now using Photoshop's focus stacking. I am very much a beginner working with Photoshop and focus stacking so I am sure it needs plenty of work. But, for now I am happy with the results. And yes, I agree. My wife does amazing work, but then again I am prejudiced. Pg5

Freeform Wire Bracelet from Sarah Thompson’s class “Wire Weaving Bracelets-Basics and Beyond” crafted by my wife. Please see insets for side views. I was recruited to take pictures of the jewelry my wife has been making for a 6 month blog challenge she has been doing where she was crafting a piece of jewelry a week from tutorials. She has just ended that challenge this past week with this bracelet. This has also been a 6 month challenge for me as I have tried to take pictures of her pieces that are as professional as possible. I have learned a few things. Things like light, color balance, shadows, the value of a dark side, and the importance of giving a true representation of color. After all, if she uses these photos to sell the jewelry, I don't want the person purchasing the piece to be mislead by what they see online because my colors are not correct. It was not until this week that I took the time to work with focus stacking software in taking pictures of the jewelry. I tend to take macro shots so as to display the wonderful detail she puts into each piece. The problem with that is the parts that are out of focus. I don't like them. I could use the photo stacking in Adobe Photoshop except I don't have Photoshop. I use Lightroom for basic developing. So I am using a trial version of a focus stacking specific software. I must say I am pleased with the early results. I am sure I need to work on my focus stacking. This was my first real attempt. I am looking forward to getting even more practice. pg9.12
