Last flight outta town

24 Feb 2010 73
Languishing around the back of Liverpool's old art deco airport terminal. This Bristol Britannia has the distinction of being the same kind of aeroplane that the Beatles used for that iconic piece of film where they're at this airport amidst the height of screaming Beatlemania. As for the photo, it's kinda dingy, but that matched the weather and perhaps my mood so, well, meh. But view a bit larger and the texture of the apron is nice.

Everybody waits

"Mum, c'mon, do we really need to fly? Couldn't we just chase some sticks instead?"

Suzi, Roma Airport - test strip with scanner mods

A darkroom test strip, created (accidental art!) during the printing of this shot .

Edinburgh Rock

Not the tasty sort, but nice to know the origin of the bricks here at East Fortune airfield. I wonder how many bricks have a name on them, like this? It makes every wall a potential time capsule for the day when it is knocked down, and a trace of a perhaps long-gone local industry is revealed.

Suzi Roma airport

I love this capture. It's in Rome airport, returning home without Truck after the epic weeks in Kosova (Kosovo) during July & August 1999. ( www.aidconvoy.net ) Taken with an old manual Nikon (can't remember which model) on Kodak Tri-X. You can also see a test strip from the darkroom, which I really like - accidental art! - here .

Misplaced
