Hayling Billy Line

This path runs along what was the railway track between Havant (where I live) and Hayling Island (where I started the walk). The steam train that ran along the line was called the Hayling Billy.......hence the title.
The weather was dry (although it had been raining most of the night) when I set out, but it soon became quite cloudy and overcast.........nevertheless it stayed dry (much to my surprise) and didn't rain until later in the day.

A pathway leading into the countryside near Chalton in Hampshire, part of the South Downs National Park. It is so quiet and peaceful here that you'd never guess that this is only about half a mile from the busy A3M motorway!
If you have the time, please view large on black. Thanks for looking.

This is part of the footpath leading up to the top of Halnaker Hill in West Sussex..............it's too early in the year yet for all the leaves to have taken on their autumn colours, but it's still a very pretty place in nice light!
Please view large, on black.

Taken on a walk round Frensham Little Pond, Surrey. I decided to try a mono conversion and thought it looked a bit post-apocalypse!!
