Some of the sand dunes are fenced off to discourage people from walking all over them, giving them a chance to stabilise and to reduce further erosion.

West Wittering again...........I'm certainly getting my moneys worth from this place. I've hardly taken any photos since I went there to be honest - the weather is so grey and miserable.
This one was actually taken in brilliant sunshine, but it was so bright and the sky was so featureless that I felt mono was the way to go.
It looks better viewed large, on black. Thanks.

Another beach hut shot from West Wittering. The sands on the beach move around from season to season. In this image you can only see the top of the groyne, the rest is buried under the sand.

Happy Fence Friday everyone. I hope you all have a good weekend. I'm back from Exmouth having handed the grandchildren back to their rightful owner - I have one more day off then back to work on Sunday! I'll try to catch up with you ll over the next day or so.

Taken back in March 2013 at West Wittering beach in West Sussex and originally posted on here in April 2013. I thought I would "recycle" it for HBM today.
