The bar scene is vibrant here in this city, but over the past couple of decades bands have started later and later. Some bar shows don't start now until well after midnight. The older musicians -- and their audiences -- don't like that, and this pub in downtown caters to us geezer-listeners. This band, all veterans of the local music scene, started their first set at 7 pm; they clewed up by 10 pm when a much younger band took their place. The band was great. There was dancing. I went to school with the bassist, and I lived for four years with the drummer (forty years ago). The guitarist is the drummer's cousin. The keyboardist is the best rock/jazz/flamenco singer I've heard. They are a great band and I expect all were home by 10:30.
