There's some sort of large construction project going on at the harbor in Manitowoc, Wisconsin. These folks were doing some of the work the day we were there. Photo shot from the deck of SS Badger.

Not Ready for Prime Time

Cooley Stadium--well, actually Jackson Field (@ Cooley)--as things looked when I arrived for Lansing's Opening Day game last night. Seems that the diamond thawed in yesterday's (relative) heat. Things didn't get better. Luggie owner Tom Dickson got on the mike, apologized, and sent us home. Supposedly the makeup game will be this evening at 5:05 pm, but I've doubts.... ============= Doubts were in order. Both Friday's and Saturday's games were cancelled.

Power Fix, M43

Eventually you go stir crazy. Sundays I generally buy my RC Cola in Sunfield, since Marco's opens earlier than Mulliken's Thriftway. Last August 26 I headed south from Sunfield and returned to Mulliken on back roads. For the next few months my 366 Snaps photographs were generally images caught on the local country roads; I'd grown weary of flowers and birds. This photo's quality's compromised by haze, and because I'd pointed the lens toward the sun. ========== I originally titled the daily photo "Horse Farm," which drew a response from WindsorDi complaining about the lack of horses. And while it's true there were no horses, the title was accurate; the Bonleys raise horses, and their farm looks like no other in the neighborhood. But I changed the title to "Bonley Farm." Regardless, I was real pleased with the way the Bonley Farm photograph captured depth in their back 40. I understand why Di's left Flickr, but I miss her. ========== This photograph is an outtake from my 2012 photo-a-day project, 366 Snaps . Number of project photos taken: 11 Title of " roll :" Between Sunfield & Mulliken Other photos taken on 8/26/2012: none.
