Woolworths in Stratford is reopening as a 99p store on 30 January - selling goods a penny cheaper than Poundland just a few doors away...
Only the ghost of the sign remained today. Soon that will be gone too and Woolies here will just be a memory.

This is (was) my local woolies. It's actually officially the Highgate branch although it is situated in Junction Road, Archway.
Did anyone actually buy one of these?

These plastic Christmas trees seemed to be a feature of all the Woolies closing sales. On the last day of the Archway sale this one was still standing in the window. A snip at £10.00??
