The common phacocerus (scientific name: Phacochoerus africanus) is a wild species of suid of the genus Phacochoerus, native to the African continent. It is also called facochero and popularly known as African boar — although it is not actually a wild boar, as it does not belong to the species Sus scrofa — it can be found in pastures, savannas and forests in Africa. Phacoceros are characterized by the presence of one or two pairs of tusks and in males and by warts on the face - a characteristic that earned them the name warthog in English ("warty pig"). When running, the phacocerus usually keeps its tail raised and erect.

Thus, and according to the estate exhumed here, already in the century. I a. C. there must have been a population center in São Miguel de Odrinhas that certainly gave rise to the villa, whose first period of apogee apparently occurred around the 1st century and the beginning of the 2nd. Also noteworthy is the collection of a large Roman capital, of Syrian influence, of late chronology, integrated into the apparatus of an auxiliary wall supporting the church's belfry, built independently of the church already shown two days ago.
