These two Red-Spotted Purple butterflies faced off with each other and then began to fight. Here you can see when one of them had the other one pinned to the mat. I don't know what they were fighting over, but it was interesting to watch. I'd never seen this kind of behavior before.

This butterfly landed on a tree leaf in my back yard and sat there - almost like it was posing for me. So I obliged and took it's picture.
