This is what a brand new Kodak Instamatic 104 must have cost - $12.66. At least it did at Kmart. This was the last frame on this roll of film, so I just finished developing it tonight.

Little Toy Truck

This is a Maisto 1977 Ford truck. They need to make more ordinary vehicles like this instead of more Mustangs and Corvettes.
The film was expired for about 20 years, but it seems to have turned out all right. I exposed it two stops below the box speed of 400 and that probably helped a lot.

This is what I had for Christmas dinner – ham, mashed potatoes, stuffing, baby Swiss cheese and rye bread for a ham on rye sandwich. Taken with the camera I bought brand new in 1978 and expired film. It turned out great, considering the age of the film.

Hamburger Goulash
15 Sep 2023 |
I did some more home canning last week and this is what I canned. 19 quarts of vegetables such as potatoes, green beans, carrots and corn; tomato juice and hamburger. My mother used to call it hamburger goulash, but it's not really a traditional goulash recipe.
But it sure is good on those long, cold winter nights. Just open, then heat and serve.

Beef Consommé

Some beef consommé I made earlier this year for a soup base. Homemade soup like this is always better than out of a can you buy at the store.

Chocolate Cupcakes
26 Apr 2023 |
Last Thursday, April 20th, 2023, I made some chocolate cupcakes. I made wedding cake icing to top them off with, but ended up coloring it so it wouldn't be just plain white. I had four different colors of food coloring, so I used all four to color the icing with. I actually made two dozen cupcakes, but this is just the one dozen I photographed.
