Moist!

05 Sep 2024 42 71 153
A typically damp day in Glencoe, and a view of the "Allt Coire nam Beitheach" watercourse as it tumbles down from the valley between the mountains. This is captured from the bridge over the River Coe at Achnambeithach, The cloud covered mountains are "Stob Coire nam lochan (1115m) on the left and "Stob Coire nam Beith" (1107m) on the right, HFF and a lovely weekend,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, Large view recommended!

Mist of Morning

04 Jul 2024 51 80 251
Another from the archives this time it's back to 2015 and an image from Loch Leven at Glencoe Village. My notes say that is was a bright but misty morning with the beautiful light you would expect in the Highlands and a full tide which has just started to ebb. Loch Leven is an 8.75 mile sea Loch which opens at the seaward end into Loch Linnhe and contains 9 small islands, Enlarge if you please, ,,,,, HFF and a good weekend.

Scenic Road

21 Mar 2024 52 94 255
Short barrier fence beside the A82 Trunk as it passes "Sgòrr nam Fiannaidh" on its way through Glencoe, "Sgòrr nam Fiannaidh" is a 3172.5ft (ca. 967 m) Monroe and is the western summit of the Aonach Eagach Ridge. HFF and a great weekend, A large view is recommended!

Loch Ba,

07 Mar 2024 42 55 279
A view across a corner of Loch Ba and the 50 square mile Rannoch Moor on a mild May morning. The high point in the distance is Stob Na Cruaiche 2425 feet (ca. 739 m) This was at the heart of the last significant ice field in the UK at the end of the last ice age. A large view is strongly recommended

Clouds.

04 Feb 2024 43 65 267
Light clouds dance around "Beinn Dorain" 1076m, A Monroe in the Bridge of Orchy Hills, A Monroe is a mountain in Scotland with a height over 3,000 feet (914.4 m), The line that runs along the bottom of this conical peak is the A82 trunk Road, A large view is in my view beneficial !.

Across the Trunk. 1 Pip

10 Aug 2023 56 98 335
A mid May view across the A82 trunk road on Rannoch Moor, with snow still on the Northern faces of the 1098 metres (3602 feet) high Clach Leathad, The Pip is the view immediately behind me, which consists of Loch Ba and Rannoch Moor. A warm and sunny day with no breeze which is unusual in this area, I find a large view quite rewarding, Wish you a nice Friday and a great weekend. The River Coe near the start of its journey down the Glen and into Loch Leven, An archive shot from way back in 2013, but still worth a view on black, perhaps.

(Achnambeithach Cottage) The cottage and sheep on the mountain give a good indication of size.
