Halsway manor was held in 1086 by Roger de Courcelles with Alric, the owner in 1066, as his tenant. The manor passed through many owners down to 1960, (mentioned in the Doomsday Book) Now It is the only residential folk centre in the UK. This week it hosts The 5th Big Hurdy-Gurdy event! Church of St Mary's Stogumber, Somerset, This cross probably marked the place where the gospel was first preached in the village, the base and shaft being ancient though the rest is Victorian. HWW!

For over six centuries, The church of St Mary the Virgin, has been the focal point of the village of Stogumber, The tower which was begun in the fourteenth century, is built of red sandstone, but differing styles indicate church extensions over the years! Stogumber is a village and civil parish in Somerset, England, on the eastern flank of the Brendon Hills. It also has a station on the West Somerset Railway. A large view for detail! Another raid on the archives for a bench or two, This time we are at the Jurassic Coastal town of Seaton, The town looks out across Lyme Bay, East Devon, and the sea front forms a part of the South West Coastal Path! I recommend a large view and wish you all HBM!

The Cobb, Lyme Regis Dorset, England,The lady with the mobile phone gives the images age away! The top Layer where the majority of the ladies are stood slopes quite steeply to the sea and is quite a sensation when waves are rolling in across Lyme Bay and breaking against the wall, The first sea defense here was in It was in 1538 it has been destroyed by the sea on a number of occasions but the present sturdy Cobb was reconstructed in 1820 using Portland Stone! A large view perhaps and I Wish you all a HWW!

Quite a famous and one of England's oldest clocks on the wall of Wells Cathedral It was fabricated around 1475 and the timepiece, with its jousting knights, chiming the bell every 15 minutes it is a popular attraction!............ HWW! An image from 2020 as I am in the process of moving everything away from Microsoft!
