Another view of Ben Nevis, this time from across the Corpach Basin and Loch Linnhe.
The Corpach basin is at the western end of the Caledonian Canal, vessels heading east face a staircase lock comprising eight locks on the Canal. Built by Thomas Telford between 1803 and 1822, it is the longest staircase lock in Britain, and known as "Neptune's Staircase"
This is an archive image from 2009 therefore quality may be lower than usual.

Mist begins to form in this shot of the Lochs of Laich and Linnhe with the Ardnamurican peninsula as a backdrop to the much photographed Castle Stalker and Stalker Island,
In 16.9 format so a large view really would be appreciated.
The Old Harbour Wall

It will probably need to be enlarged to view properly as this is an image from 2013, software issues prevent me from uploading new images at the moment
This is Loch Linnhe which follows the line of the Great Glen Fault, and is the only sea loch along the fault. About 50 kilometres (30 miles) long, it opens onto the Firth of Lorne at its southwestern end
This is taken at Polanach near the seaward end of the loch, What remains of the old harbour wall is falling foul of the weather and the waves,
HWW to all !

Castle Stalker and Loch Laich with the cloud topped Morvern Peninsula as a backdrop.
The Castle is a four-storey tower house or keep picturesquely set on a tidal islet on Loch Laich, an inlet off Loch Linnhe,
Large for the best view I think

Shot into the light over Loch Laich and Castle Stalker as the sun reflects from the distant Loch Linnhe and almost hides the cloud covered Morvern peninsula, This is the castle that features in the final scenes of the Monty Python and the Holy Grail film.
