The old bridge, the first to cross the Darling River, at North Bourke. The lift section was to allow river boats to pass. It was built from parts manufactued in England and it opened in 1888. The water is stored by the town weir. Without the weir there would be no water here. HFF to my viewers for 03/01/25. Some stimulus to reflect on the the year just finished and the year commenced, and the bridge between the years at the moment of midnight on 31/12/24.
