A fascinating collection of street art on Forster main beach, New South Wales, Australia. I couldn't find anything so far on the Internet re. the artists, or the history of these murals. Believed to have been painted in 2001. Ian collected his old specs with new lens to suit his eye, post cataract op. We went to the hardware store, and the staff were all wearing masks, unlike last visit. We wore ours, and there were plenty to be seen. The message has finally got through. Actually masks are strongly recommended now for busy places in our state, NSW. Mandatory in Victoria for any public places, including grocery stores, transport, etc. Went take some photos of the murals on the beach wall, and then were tempted by a coffee shop. Had to sign in, leaving our names and phone number.

Hawaii

Hawaii sticker from the back of our Nissan Patrol, has been on there for years so pretty faded, see original, taken 6 September, in comments. Note: Last visit to Hawaii was 1992 :-) Background of a mural in a cafe (Goody's, Toogoom, Queensland), taken 31 August. TSC Kitsch Pay attention on the background, and try to take the shot against something as "kitschy" as the main object itself is ;-)

There isn't much graffiti around here but I found this at Peregian Beach. A pity that the graffiti creator has done this to a charming mural. The mural depicts the typical beach access with fish, a dolphin and a whale frolicking in the Pacific Ocean :-) TSC The writing's on the wall

Wappa Dam Mural

18 Aug 2016 4 3 360
Jack Harrison Park on Wappa Dam Collage from four photos. There is a large mural designed by schoolchildren designed to represent themselves and how we all fit into the natural world. Kookaburra, Possum, Parrots, Pelican. Wappa Dam is located west of Yandina in the Sunshine Coast hinterland. The dam was constructed in 1963 on the South Maroochy River and supplies drinking water to the interconnected supply network. The lake has a catchment area of approximately 69.7km2 and holds 4694 megalitres of water at full supply. Spillway Lookout The lookout at Jack Harrison Park located at Wappa Park Road, Kiamba, is a great place to view the dam when it is spilling. Wappa Dam recreation guide
