Farewell to Raasay (2)
It was time to go home. Once again I was sad to drive on to the ferry and leave Raasay. Here the Caledonian MacBrayne ferry MV Hallaig heads out into the Narrows of Raasay towards Skye .
There had been more snow showers during the night and the snow-line over the mountains on Skye was much lower than the previous day.

Even as early as mid-April there was a definite glow in the sky late at night (23:18 BST).
A 30-second exposure captured the detail in the clouds, together with the various lights on Skye and the navigation buoys in the Sound.

View south to Skye from Raasay Community Hall.
It was a cool, blustery April day with frequent but short-lived snow showers, interspersed with periods of bright sunshine. Across the Sound, Glamaig and the Culllins looked lovely with a dusting of snow picking out every detail.
