Pelicans at North Shore Yacht Club on the Salton Sea. The picture is taken from quite some distance with difficult lighting, thus a little fuzzy. If you look closely you'll see that the pelicans have what looks like a horn on the top side of the beak. Per Wikipedia, this growth appears during mating season.
