Sunday 6 April 2008 (1219) – Suffolk County Council Alexander Dennis (ADL) Enviro300 SN56 AYK, new in September 2006. It was seen parked at what was the site of Fiveways Garage at Barton Mills - a used car dealer and Jet filling station occupying the area between the A1101 Mildenhall Road and A1065 Brandon Road which was redeveloped in late 2015 becoming a Shell filling station with a MacDonalds drive in. Access to where the buses were parked was from the A1065 near enough exactly where the entrance to the Shell/MacDonalds site now is. The building alongside the bus survived the redevelopment and can be identified today.

Sunday 29 December 1996 - Still in festive mode, Whippet Coaches H303 CAV is seen at King Street, Mildenhall when operating the 0844 Cambridge to Great Yarmouth service 200 which was a Suffolk County Council supported service. It is a Northern Counties bodied Volvo B10M-50 new in September 1990.

Sunday 28 May 1995 (approx. 1000) – A new Sunday bus service 200 linking Cambridge with Great Yarmouth commenced today, the start of the new Suffolk County Council Summer timetable, which was not only the Spring Bank Holiday weekend but also the weekend of the once famous Mildenhall Air Fete.
Whippet Coaches of Fenstanton was the contracted operator. In this view two Northern Counties bodied Volvo B10M double deckers, G824 UMU and G823 UMU, are seen plodding past the Riverside Hotel in Mill Street, Miidenhall in the slow moving traffic. They were new in 1989 and featured high backed seating.
Parker's Mill occupied the site behind the houses, their buildings can be seen on the extreme right and extreme left of the photograph.

Friday 19 March 1993 – West Row Coach Services operated the Suffolk County Council supported service 401 that operated on Fridays (for Mildenhall market) and Tuesdays (for Mildenhall Clinic). Plaxton Supreme bodied DAF MB200 TND 418X was new in May 1982 as a Shearings Holidays touring coach (owned by either Shearings or Jacksons – they were in the same group). It was then operated by D J Coaches of Fordham and Steve MacKenzie of West Row before passing to WRCS. This was the 1310 trip from King Street, Mildenhall to Lakenheath.

Bank Holiday Monday 8 May 1995 – St. Mary’s Church flies the flag to mark to 50th anniversary of VE Day. Suffolk County Council supported a number of ‘Suffolk Sundaybus’ services that additionally operated on Bank Holiday Mondays. Ipswich Buses 213 (M213 EDX) is seen leaving King Street, Mildenhall when working the 1236 Ely to Ipswich service 156. An Optare MetroRider new in December 1994.

Sunday 21 May 1995 - Ipswich Buses 229 (K100 LCT) passing through Barton Mills when working the 1236 Ely to Ipswich ‘Suffolk Sundaybus’ service 156. This MCW Metrorider was previously operated by Lancaster City Transport, hence the letters LCT in the registration number. Ipswich Buses names all its buses. This one pays homage to its origins and is named ‘Lancastrian’. The building on the right was once the vicarage to the nearby St. Mary’s Church. The frontage had to be retained when the original property was demolished and it now stands in front of a modern day residential property.

Sunday 27 February 1994 – Ipswich Buses 218 (J218 NRT), an Optare MetroRider named ‘Apollo’, travels along The Street in Barton Mills whilst working the 1000 ‘Suffolk Sundaybus’ service 156 from Ipswich to Ely. For a number of years Suffolk County Council supported a number of Sunday bus services which criss-crossed the county and connected with each other serving main towns and tourist attractions/stately homes etc.

Sunday 18 October 1992 (1150) - Ipswich Buses 221 (G221 VDX) was seen at King Street, Mildenhall when working the 1000 Ipswich to Ely service 156, one of the ‘Suffolk Sundaybus’ services sponsored for a number of years Suffolk County Council. The services criss-crossed the county and connected with each other serving main towns and tourist attractions/stately homes etc. An Optare MetroRider new in November 1989.

Sunday 16 August 1998 (approx. 1346) – Suffolk County Council sponsored a network of Sunday bus services for a few years which brought some different operators into Mildenhall. H C Chambers and Son of Bures Whittaker converted Mercedes-Benz 609D is seen at King Street prior to returning to Colchester on the 1346 service 757.

Showbus, Sunday 21 September 2014 - Suffolk Norse 215 (SN56 AYK), an Alexander Dennis (ADL) Enviro300 new to Suffolk County Council in 2006. On February 1 2013 the bus and coach operations of SCC were transferred over to a new joint venture company named Suffolk Norse jointly owned by SCC and Norse Commercial Services.
