Some folks may recall us finding a pupa of a moth in the beginning of April ( Large Pupa ) So we brought it home due to its unfortunate location in a wet muddy footpath and raised her. We've kept her in dirt in a bug house with wire mesh sides, lightly misted her about every 2 - 3 days and in a cool dark room and she finally emerged today :D I really feel privileged to have been a part of this process with her.

This guy had emerged earlier in the day and we sat with him for over an hour while he waited for dusk to take off.

One of Britains largest moths weighing in with a 9 -12 centimetre wingspan!!
