Finally a clear view of Mont Blanc Summit

Until you get to here - at 4807m - the highest point in W. Europe

Kanchenjunga (8586m) viewed from Sandakphu, looking towards Sikkim. The clear air is no doubt helped by the altitude - 3630m. Just around the corner (or over a small mound) you can also get a view of Everest, but the cloud wasn't as good in that direction and it is much further away. Best viewed large to see more detail - there's a red-robed monk in there somewhere.

The summit beckons for another couple of hikers on the final slog. Mt Whitney.

More than one I'm sure and taking a keen interest in hikers visiting their home.

Perched onthe summit rocks and looking straight down to Iceberg lake almost 2000ft below.

As you might expect the summit makes a fabulously airy viewpoint.
