Die BAB 7 versteckt sich fast am Horizont zwischen Stadt und Wald. Der Brocken, die höchsten Erhebung im Harz, ist dahinter schwach am Horizont in der größten Vergrößerung zu erahnen. Rechts außerhalb des Bildes führt der Weg hinunter nach Upstedt (tagg ), der Ort mit der 1000 jährigen Linde.

Manchmal erklärt man sie zur ältesten Linde Deutschlands oder der Welt. Die Gegend mit diesem Baum ist lieblich hügelig, wird Ambergau genannt sind auf jeden Fall ein paar Lebensstunden wert und liegt von der Autobahn Hildesheim Göttingen gut erreichbar quasi am Wegesrand.
