A Single specimen of this pretty small Pyralid came to the Light Trap on the 9th.

Crambidae - Wingspan: 16mm.
A species which is associated with water plants, which is not surprising with Rice fields nearby. A single specimen came to the Light Trap on the 8th.

Crambidae - Wingspan: 26mm.
A widespread Oriental and Australian Pyralid. Three specimens came to the Light Trap on the 8th (1) and 9th (2).

Widespread through the Oriental region, reaching as far as Fiji and northern parts of Australia. A single specimen came to the Light Trap on the 5th.

A similar looking species to IBa028 Glyphodes duplicalis in patterns, but this one has white panels and darker borders. A single specimen came to the Light Trap on the 5th.

A widespread Oriental species which has been recorded from India through the islands to Australia. A single specimen came to the Light Trap on the 4th.

Crambidae, Glaphyriinae - Wingspan : 23mm.
Two specimens of this small Pyralid species were recorded on the second trapping night at our location. It is a fairly rare migrant to the UK, but can be found throughout Europe.

Pyralidae, Pyralinae - Wingspan : 16mm.
A species which is widespread in Europe, and which extends into the UK as well. There was a good population around this hotel, with 26 specimens recorded at the trap through our stay. However there were many other specimens seen around corridor wall lights within the hotel as well.

A common migrant which spreads throughout Europe and into the UK almost every year. Six were recorded at this location during our stay.

Crambidae Anania testacealis - Wingspan : 17mm.
A correction to the species name, thanks Martin! This small orange moth is fairly widespread in Europe including the UK, although usually in fairly small numbers. At this location, just one specimen came to the trap on the first night.

A widespread common migrant which can be found in most places in Europe. 5 were recorded during our stay.

Crambidae, Spilosomelinae Wingspan: 28mm.
Another fairly non-descript Pyralid amongst many similar species, but slightly better marked wings than many. Apparently a Mediterranean species, two came in to our trapping session at this site.

Crambidae, Spilomelinae Wingspan: 30mm.
A widespread common Pyralid in Europe, often migrating in large numbers, some arriving along the south coastal areas of the UK. Only one appeared in our trapping sessions at this site. Although this specimen is fairly plainly coloured, many of the wing areas in some specimens are darker brown, almost black, making quite distinctive patterning.

Crambidae, Spilomelinae Wingspan: 28mm.
This small Pyralid has varying degrees of darkening on its pearl-grey wings. Just a single specimen arrived at our first overnight trapping session during our stay. This species is also a resident in some southern coastal areas of the UK, particularly Cornwall.
