Sobrado's Marmoiral (13th century).

A "marmoiral" is a funerary monument. This one stands on the route of the funerary procession of Queen Saint Mafalda. This queen was the daughter of Sancho I of Portugal and the wife of Henry I of Castilla. She died in 1256 and her body was brought in procession to be buried in the Arouca Monastery. This marmoiral marks the passage of the procession in this place - Boavista Street, Castelo de Paiva.
