The Canada geese that inhabit Wascana Park are used to having people around, but they let you know how close is enough. While the geese are raising their goslings they are especially insistent that people keep their distance. I assume this was the mother goose, and she was aware that I was nearby.

Another angle on the channel separating the short of Wascana Lake from Pine Island, taken from the foot bridge linking the two. A solitary Canada Goose glides on the water in mid-channel, with three other birds barely visible in the upper right.

A Canada Goose watching over a couple of goslings in early June, in Wascana Park, by the shore of the lake with the same name. The geese are habituated to the man-made structures in the park.

A watchful parent keeping tabs on the three goslings. One of the goslings liked to wander off, so this was the one image where I was able to capture all three in one frame.
