Menu: Lobster Thermidor Asparagus Vinaigrette Potato Puffs Green Salad Chocolate Mint Ice Cream Roll Dumping bits of old Xmas candy on cake is always practical, since it doubles as an after-dinner breath freshener.

Menu: Chicken a la King Curry Buttered Waffles Broccoli Pecan-Lemon Butter Peach Snowball Can somebody go ahead and try that curried waffle thing and get back to me? I'm skeptical.

Menu: Cheeseburgers Minute Rice Green Beans Pimento Mixed Green Salad Frozen Brownies With Marshmallow Sauce Cheeseburgers on rice. Oh-kay. I think Minute Rice is the only brand name mentioned in the recipes. I smell a payoff. Also, those have to be the least appetizing-looking string beans in history. :/

Paragraph Three is a particular masterpiece of vague/contradictory instruction, guaranteed to make the housewife reach for a bottle of whiskey and the flyer from the local pizza parlor. But that's never killed an article in a women's magazine yet, has it? From the April issue of Everywoman's magazine.

There were at least forty of these bottom-of-the page illustrations in this book. (Beyond the first one here, which is basically a copy of the photo seen in image no. 2.) They were printed in silver ink, which doesn't scan really well, so I altered them in Photoshop for more contrast. The Chili Con Carne (second from top) is tragically underseasoned, but it sure looks nice.
