Slipping in one last work in the last few minutes of the year. :D Thanks for all your visits, likes, and comments. I appreciate what you contribute, too. Looking forward to more good things in 2025. <3 Shown smaller than the original completed size of 3000 X 1966 pixels. See one original source here .

I was so close to adding an actual photo of Bird himself. No. 10 will probably get that, when it's eventually made. Shown smaller than the original completed size of 1550 X 3023 pixels. See one original source here .

Shown smaller than the original completed size of 2500 X 2500 pixels. A lucky random use of the "Extrude" filter made that "graph paper" background, though I didn't line the segments up perfectly. D'oh!!

I'm pleased with the background crosshatch effect here. It's a combination of the "Colored pencil" filter and squares of white knit wool, in closeup. Shown at its original size of 1016 X 1016 pixels. See one of the original sources here .

The idea popped into my head while I was enjoying another listen to Charlie Parker: Live At The Royal Roost . So naturally the colors and canvas proportions came more or less from the LP's cover. Yes, I know Parker didn't play the tenor. But I didn't have all that many images of musical instruments in my swipe file. :o I did give it that white tint as a nod to his famous plastic Grafton, though. Shown smaller than the original finished size of 2539 X 2539 pixels. One of several original sources is viewable here .

Like every collage maven, I'm fond of Joseph Cornell's work. I've done a whole series of "wood-framed" pieces because of him. But I think this is my first one to exist only on computer. Original size: 2938 x 2946 pixels. One of several sources can be seen here .
