That's a TON of text! What was I thinking?!
The blood red, of course, comes from looking at the news when I really shouldn't. And waiting so long to update comes from there, too. :/

It's a beautiful day, so now I'm finally going outside. :D

Is it still a gallery if it's outside? Well, it is now. :D
One day, I have to remember to tell the story of how Herbert Read's A Concise History of Modern Sculpture (1964) helped save me from a blizzard. But not tonight, because it's pretty late.

I used the "Craquelure" filter to create the rough texture. At least, it's rough from a distance. If you zoom in, it looks a bit like tiger stripes though. A funny coincidence. (And also, if you see distortions when you zoom in close on my images, I'm sorry. It might be an ipernity bug but I've been too busy to investigate that.)

The Greek Hellenistic statue is "Old Market Woman" from 11th Century, B.C. (I flipped her around, though.) From a MacMillan Art History book published in 1937.
The painting is Henri Matisse's "Brook With Aloes" (1907), photographed in (or around) 1954.

Trying for some decollage effects, using a Shape Blur filter and a few Layer Styles. The statue of Diana (1890, U.S.) is by Frederick Macmonnies.

Collage on board. Previously unposted. Featuring a rare appearance by purple! (The bit on the right was a close-up of some sea coral, I believe)

Color changes using "Command + U." The sky was run through "Artistic: Smudge Stick" on a medium setting, them some paint was added on the left and right sides. The apple has a medium setting of "Artistic: Palette Knife." The grass was worked over with Clone Stamp and a custom brush. Other assorted fixes.
