Le Monastier-sur-Gazeille - MNBigBand

10 Mar 2018 1 192
Le Monastier-sur-Gazeille is known by musicians as this is the place of the "Festival du Monastier" (aka "Festival de Cuivres"), a great meeting centered around "brass". 40 concerts - in 7 days (!!) - in a town with a population of below 2000. Volunteers and a supporting community of music lovers make this festival possible. Chloé Cailleton and the MNBigBand paid homage to great Serge Gainsbourg and gave the audience with "Gainsbourg in Jazz" a very jazzy experience. It was something like a "rediscovery" of music I had nearly forgotten. The video has a bigband-version of Gainsbourg´s "Ma lou Marilou" www.youtube.com/watch?v=LgCArpEL7jU
