& here's the result of my plein air super cold weather painting efforts. No it's not great art but it sure was fun!

I did dress for the weather but even so, even with gloves on, my hands were pretty cold after 15 minutes.

I wanted to do a quick (very very quick watercolor at -44 so here's where I did it. I used Cretacolor watercolor bricks to paint with, 140 pound paper, vodka instead of water (the brush freezes immediately if you use water at these temperatures).

Ah, the day after Christmas, the outside temperature is -44F (around -42C) so I decided to do a little Plein Air painting.
