Traditional station platform benches, plus an interesting variation ... Two luggage trolleys have been adapted into seating, with cushions and back rests. Much more comfortable than the traditional slatted benches !

Looking North from the College balcony, with the training fleet moored to the pontoons. Just after I took this image, a small gang of lifeboat crewpersons spent a while re-arranging the deckchairs and table/chair sets. Benches with a sea view, on top of the cliffs at Overstrand, not far from Cromer in Norfolk. The recent overly dry & hot weather has exacerbated the damage to the grass caused by walking, despite the paths and pads under the seats.

One of the sports available is Boules or Pentaque, this is a competition standard terrain with several "lanes" and usually very popular. [so finding the pitch unoccupied was a bonus, but I had left my boules at home].

Looking to the right as per ... Doors to Compartment 2 already work, but may need minor repairs. Looking from just inside compartment 3 towards the existing bulkhead (between cmpts 1 & 2), this will need the gap filling and new, full-width bench seats.

Before the seats and floor are stained, varnished and finally secured in position, there is the little matter of providing the power supply to a display unit, which is now to be located at the end of the bench on the right, so cables / socket go under the floor.

This is a very sturdy construction. Coal Bunker is in the middle, between the wider Driver's seat and narrower Stoker's Seat. Locker spaces under both seats. Starting to apply the undercoat.

Cab seats and bunker assembled and in the first application of the grey undercoat. Stoker's seat raised for access to that side's locker. The roof is leaning against the carriage in the background.
