The wake produced by the water jets from "Manannan" as she makes the crossing to Liverpool, I estimated she was doing around 35 - 40 knots during most of the passage.

Damage on Manxman's stern, caused by a collision with the linkspan / piers ay Heysham either 20th or 21st August 2024, possibly due to high winds ? Some delays resulted at the ferries needed to use another berth. [That needs painting, at the very least !] not my image : fair use & public information

Quite a crowd of people have come to watch the new IoMSP ferry "Manxman" as she berths on the Edward VIII pier in Douglas Harbour, July 2023. She is carrying Captain Stephen Carter, the senior pilot for Douglas, in his last official engagement before retirement. . Passenger-carrying certificates and dedication plaques. Annoyed that the lower one is illegible because it is an inscribed mirror. [On the bulkhead, just as you go into the cafeteria having gone past the doggy lounge. There was a really yappy something or other in there, but it eventually went to sleep]

Plenty of lifeboats and liferafts - in the "cannisters" ... and no doubt lifejackets as well. Just had a look at the various signs and heard the safety announcement.
