This photo was taken very shortly before my poor brother lost the camera he is holding - a present for his 8th birthday. A Kodak Instamatic.
There was not a lot of sympathy for his loss, to put it mildly.
Nicholas and I have different versions of the fallout but either way it wasn't pretty.
Poor guy.

Not that difficult I think.
Brought forward for the Vintage Photos Theme Park theme of "wallpaper".
This is my friend Joanne in one of her infinite costume variations - I guess "office girl" in this one - (I SO need to do an album featuring Joanne!) in the kitchen with my brother Nicholas at my parent's 25th wedding anniversary party. Nicholas was always more fashionable than me - an understatement of staggering proportions.
This is my family's apartment, Lombard Street, New Haven, Connecticut.
And if you couldn't guess, it's the seventies - February, 1977 to be exact.

My brother and I, June 1964. Brought forward for the Vintage Photos Theme Park theme of "Farms".
Uncle Leo and Aunt Mollie's farm, Ballycoog, Wicklow, Ireland.
My mother's stepmother - my Nana - was from Ireland originally, and my mom spent some summer holidays there when she was growing up, with Nanas friends and family.
This was a goodbye visit to those people, as we were about to emigrate to the States.
On a funny note - I just got a call from a woman in Dublin, Ireland who wanted to use this photo in a brochure. I said yes. She's sending me the brochure when it's done - hope I don't regret it.
