When we took this amazing elevator up to the gardens and fortress in Valletta, Malta, I wanted to get a good photo of the lift system. However, my main camera didn't make panoramas. So, I made a "vertical panorama" with the phone. Image processed with GIMP. [View on black]

Our cruise ship was in the main harbor in Malta. We enjoyed visiting this very interesting area, and the ship was just about to leave, when I noticed that many of the main landmarks were illuminated. (Seems like plenty of shadows to complement the lighted areas, per the Sunday Challenge.) Took several shots, using the high ISO capability of the Nikon D700. Image processed with GIMP.
