And this was another butterfly with the same colors as in Picture 11 in flight. I don't know if it's the same one as I don't remember.

This was after the black butterfly turned. Note that the other butterfly and the bee are still there.

This butterfly stood out for its black color, but the black color also hid detail. I didn't have a proper telephoto lens anyway, so I'm not sure how much it mattered. If you look carefully, you can see another butterfly off to the lower right, and an airborne bee below the black butterfly.

This was the same butterfly a few seconds later.

I spent a lot of time photographing this group of flowers (does anybody know what they are?), because they were the easiest to get shots of bees and butterflies on. They move around a lot, so they can be a challenge, but I caught this butterfly in mid-flight. I don't know the species, but maybe someone more expert does.

See if you can spot the bee without using the notes? :-)

Dandelions, Strahov, Prague, CZ, 2007

Dandelions are very common in Central New York, where I'm from, but they're common in Bohemia, too. You wouldn't think it, but this was taken in Prague, in the gardens in Strahov. Prague is actually quite green in places, as I think I've illustrated in some of my other photos. Look carefully, and I think you can spot a bee or two among these flowers.

Okay, here you can see the bees better. This was only the second black and white (after Picture 1 of this) that I took with my Nikon N80, and luckily it came out decent, I think. I'm going to try more of these next summer, if possible, as it occurred to me recently that....well....I like bees. :-) These ones are honeybees, but I don't know if they're domestic or wild. Supposedly all the ones in America are domestic, but I know very little about bees in the rest of the world.

Bees? On Magnolia, Sidliste Haje, Prague, CZ, 2007

I may very well be making a blunder about the type of tree, so definitely correct me if I'm wrong. Even more annoying, I can't find the bees, but I know that that's why I took this.

I had to ask a flatmate what this is, but I appears to be a species of clover called a "Jetel Plazivy" in Czech. The nearest thing I could find in Wikipedia in English seemed to be a "Red Clover," but I don't know if that's what this is. In any case, I was more taking the photo for the bees. :-)
