Parque del Buen Retiro. I forget the name of this plant momentarily,

Rose garden, El Retiro, Madrid Rose "Papa Milland" (Please see Pam J's comments below!).

There's a strange, predatory looking insect nestling in the top bud. Maybe a wasp of the ichneumon fly type I wonder. Sorry that the detail isn't clear enough but I didnt spot it at the time and in fact only saw it on uploading, 3 and a half years later! Tonight in fact!

A pleasant place to visit in May and June in Madrid.
