Heather and Gorse. Overlooking Porthcadjack Cove, Cornwall. Yes, I have posted one or two similar scenes from this vantage point but I make no excuses for posting one more!

The tin mines extended far out under the sea. Descent and ascent was by ladder or primitive rope cable cars. The accidents and deaths were many.

Another re-post, this time one more shot from 2011. View towards the expansive beach at Perranporth (in the far distance!). A fire in July 2017 sadly destroyed the vegetation on The Beacon. But it will recover in a few years.

View towards Bosigran, Rosemergy, Pendeen Watch and Morvah from the lower slopes of Carn Galva. The granite field-walls (called 'hedges' in Cornwall) seen here in the middle distance, and present in much of the coastal-shelf areas of West Penwith are reputed to be the oldest 'continuously used - for their original purpose - man made structures anywhere on Earth'.
