Spring wildflowers, La Sierra de La Cabrera.

This is the sort of scene I was hoping to see this Spring but the weather was against me and I'm not yet 100% sure I've got quite enough stamina back yet. Oh well ... This is a previously unshown shot from the last time I walked in this granite wonderland; 25/05/2019. Four whole years ago. It doesn't seem real somehow! Sight and Sound. Eric Burdon and War. Tobacco Road. An all time favourite. Long but worth it! www.youtube.com/watch?v=RF87aqqmf4Q

I don't think I've posted this before (but certainly on Panoramio). Typical granite forms up on the ridge.

Granite, broom, gorse and lavender.

La Sierra de La Cabrera - fabulous walking country. Midsummer; but in reality late spring in the mountains.

Cistus, lavender and broom.

Sierra de La Cabrera. June is broom time. One of the many paths up to the ridge.

Sierra de La Cabrera, El Cancho Largo in the background. Taken from the GR10 long-distance path (east west across the Iberian Peninsula). Sorry! Done it again! The second time I uploaded this photo!

The boulder near the summit, sticking up from the ridge, is the vultures favourite rock, as seen in a few of my Griffon vulture shots.

La Sierra de La Cabrera, looking past Pena del Tejo (low but very interesting with its fantastic granite forms) towards Mondalindo (high but more conventional as mountains go!).
