Loch Coruisk is an inland freshwater loch that is situated in the very heart of the Black Cuillins, an impressive granite horseshoe mountain range, the closet Britain gets to Alpine conditions.
This photo looked good when originally taken in 1978 but I have had to heavily doctor it just to get something worth showing!

Possibly from July 1980, but I think more likely September 1978 as that is when all my other rescued slides are from. My 1980 Skye photos were mainly in print format and have gone awol! I did have a few slides from 1980 and I don't think I recall this boat being there in 1978. It is a (minor) puzzle to me. Memory is a fickle thing!
I do recall, however that the scree-run (top left hand corner of this shot) was very good fun!

Near our climbing hut. We booked this place a few times in the late 70s from the Junior Mountaineering Club of Scotland (JMCS) and had some terrific times here, especially on the Cuillin Ridge.
A scanned slide from a series of slides that had become somewhat degraded. Most were useless, a few, such as this, still had a little merit in them so I decided to post.

July 1980, Skye. The Junior Mountaineering Club of Scotland has a climbing hut here on Loch Coruisk, in the heart of the Black Cuillins. Professor Norman Davies is a fine accordion player!
