This Trout Lily, Erythronium americanum, shows off not only its beautiful flower but its patterned leaves, the leaves for which the plant is named. It was photographed in The Ravines, a Grand Rapids, Michigan, city park.

These Trout Lilies were photographed at a Grand Rapids city park named The Ravines. It is along the Grand River and is a great natural area. The photo shows the beautifully patterned leaves for which the plant is named.

I believe this is the Yellow Finger Coral Fungus. It was photographed at the Ravines in western Michigan and was one of the msuhrooms we found while walking there with other family members.

Amanita muscaria

Amanita muscaria or Fly Agaric is a known for its hallucenogenic qualities. We did not sample it for that reason, bjut did photograph it at the Ravines, a park near Grand Valley State University in Michigan. Usually a bright red this one was yellow, as were others we saw near Lake Michigan.

These are New England Asers, one of the few wildflowers still blooming when we were in Michigan earlier this autumn. They were photographed in a new park along the Grand River, the Ravines.
