Taken in Joshua Tree National Park the first night we were there (we stayed three nights). We found a campsite, did a short hike and watched the sunset at Intersection Rock. We had traveled to Joshua Tree from the Salton Sea and Redlands. We spent our time in the park, the third time we've been there, hiking some new trails, exploring areas we had visited previously and enjoying the sunshine and warm weather. I am okay with this photo being used for Ipernity's front page but do not know how to edit the photo as Bergfex has requested.

Typical scenery of Joshua Tree National Park, this will be the last landscape from that remarkable place I'll be posting. The photo was taken along the trail to the old gold mining mill known as Wall Street.

These Joshua Trees, Yucca brevifolia, were photographed along the road to Keyes Point in Joshua Tree National Park.

Here are more of the Joshua Trees for which Joshua Tree National Park is named. They are actually not a tree at all, but a Yucca. These were photographed near the beginning of the road to Keyes Point.

Driving south on the Pinto Basin Road in Joshua Tree National Park we began to see the trees for which the park is named.Really they are not trees at all but Yucca plants.
