Mount Batur and the crater lake
The lake, Danau Batur, is the largest crater lake on the island of Bali and is a good source of fish. We went the eastern lake side to a small fisher village called Trunyan and the nearby cemetery where we saw the funeral rites of Aga people. Bali Aga (mountain Balinese), a classification which refers to a conservative, pre-Hindu way of life with ancient, neolithic customs and a conscious avoidance of outside influences.
