I see so many buzzards now, but it’s good to glimpse one up close and personal as here. I always think that the buzzard is let down by its name: compared with kestrel, falcon, red kite, ‘buzzard’ is a let down. Names create first impressions sometimes. But, as you show here, it’s a truly majestic raptor that lifts the sprits when seen circling on high, making its distinctive call.
