Well at least with words we did! ;-D You would've kicked his ass too Werner!
What a dick he was/is...and HEY that's a one word comment! ;-DDDDDDD
“R*b,
A good friend (Sherry, of course!) drew my attention to a recent post of yours alleging that my contribution to the "One Comment" Sky competition was "photoshoped retarded".
I haven't the faintest idea what "retarded" means, but I can assure you that the picture wasn't in any way "photoshoped". Apart from some cropping, the picture is exactly as it came out of my camera (for details, see the EXIF data). At that time, I still used iPhoto vs.2 with its rudimentary editing features; what iPhoto did, and does, offer is the possibility to return to the original upload anytime.
To be quite sure, I have checked the original version, and can be very definite: there has been no color, contrast, exposure, or other tweaking. It was just a beautiful sky –with a little too much foreground...
That "Photoshop" is an abusive word on Flickr was new to me. However, your off-topic remark in the voting thread was obviously meant to disqualify my picture. I won't say it is better than #9, and I suppose an administrator is entitled to a certain arbitrariness, but I wonder about your lack of distance. "Winning by slander" –if that appeals to you, please go ahead. Otherwise, I must ask you to put things straight.
Your Flickr profile reveals you have seen much of the world, but you clearly haven't seen the Alps from our balcony.
Best regards, etc.”
Sherry left the group instantly –I’m still in it! :-)
