Magnolia macro 050713

I was working on my second series of refractions yesterday. When I reached the hair-pulling frustration, wondering why in the world I would attempt this, I decided to go outside, in the gorgeous weather, pick a magnolia, surround myself with it's glorious scent, and photograph it!! Then I had my first of a couple of glasses of wine ... A friend, who is a master of refractions along with all other photography techniques, told me I would need to shoot 1,000 refraction images to perfect the technique. I don't have that much wine in my house, at least not now!!! {:o) As I post my newest attempts, you all have my deepest sympathy ... {:o)!!
