Die ALEXANDER von HUMBOLDT II ist eine Dreimast-Bark, die als ein ziviles Segelschulschiff unter deutscher Flagge betrieben wird. Heimathafen ist Bremerhaven. Die Alex-2, wie sie liebevoll von ihrer Stammcrew genannt wird, wird vorwiegend für die Ausbildung von geeigneten und interessierten Personen – insbesondere jungen Menschen – auf traditionellen Großseglern genutzt.
