Neues Palais (PiP)
Das Neue Palais wurde von Friedrich dem Großen (Friedrich II., Alter Fritz) in Auftrag gegeben und in der Zeit von 1763 bis 1769 gebaut. Es ist die letzte bedeutende Schlossanlage des Barock und des Friderizianischen Rokokos in Preußen. Das Schloss war nicht als königliche Residenz geplant, sondern nur ein Gästehaus. Erst Kaiser Wilhelm II. machte es von 1888 bis 1918 zu seinem Wohnsitz.
Heute dient das Hauptgebäude als Museum und kann auch innen besichtigt werden. Das Neue Palais gehört als Teil des Parks Sanssouci zum UNESCO-Welterbe.
