Some Impressions of 'Les Ruffes'

See large, Please ! - 'Les Ruffes' ( rufus = red ) is a landscape 'round Lake Salagou which is sited at the southern edge of the Cevennes. This area offers an exceptional palette of colours thanks to a combination of several geological phenomena: Red brick colour of sediments rich on iron oxide in contrast to black basalt which has origin in volcanic activity. A rough and exciting area quite different to the rest of Languedoc. The pictures have been taken near the little village of Brenas.
