Midnight guest above the tent
Tawny frogmouth..(..podargus strigoides)....,native to and common throughout Australia. Related to the nightjars rather than owls.
It was sleeping above our tent....till I rudely woke it up for photos!

Bungle Bungles
In the Purnululu National Park in far north Western Australia. These ancient eroded landforms spread across a huge area and are classified as a World Heritage site by UNESCO. They are very remote.
